Held June 16, 2026, at ServisFirst Bank's headquarters in Birmingham, the roundtable provided an opportunity for banking leaders and SBA officials to exchange ideas on strengthening SBA lending programs and identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness and reach of these initiatives. Discussions centered on enhancing access to capital, streamlining lending processes and supporting the continued growth of America's more than 36 million small businesses.

ServisFirst Bank welcomed Bill Briggs, Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, and John Rich, Deputy Regional Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, who shared insights into the SBA's current priorities and future direction. Their remarks underscored the importance of strong partnerships between the SBA and financial institutions in helping entrepreneurs access the resources they need to start, grow and sustain their businesses.

“Community banks and lending partners are essential to fueling local economies, connecting small businesses with the capital they need to succeed,” states Bill Briggs, Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. “Working together, we can continue to strengthen SBA capital access programs, lower barriers for borrowers, and create jobs.
