ServisFirst Bank Huntsville Announces Promotions of Three Leading Bankers
Blake Freeman, Stuart Whitaker, Rachel Guthrie Promoted
Huntsville, AL -
ServisFirst Bank, a subsidiary of ServisFirst Bancshares (NYSE:SFBS), announces the promotions of Blake Freeman to Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer, Stuart Whitaker to Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer, and Rachel Guthrie to Assistant Relationship Manager and Bank Officer.

Blake Freeman, Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer Blake Freeman has been promoted to Senior Vice President by excelling as one of ServisFirst Bank Huntsville’s key commercial bankers. Freeman has worked for ServisFirst Bank since 2013, when he joined the team as a summer intern. Freeman is responsible for a diverse portfolio of residential development and home construction, multi-family development, and commercial and industrial clients.
Freeman is a member of the board for the Committee of 100 Young Professionals and the Huntsville/Madison County Auburn Club. Additionally, he is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County’s Connect Class 21 and Focus Class 36, and he is currently a member of their 2022 Flagship program. Freeman graduated from Auburn University with a degree in finance.
Stuart Whitaker, Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer Stuart Whitaker has been promoted to Vice President due to his accomplishments with ServisFirst Bank and his experience in the industry. Whitaker has worked in banking and finance since 2013, joining the ServisFirst Bank team in 2018. He has developed and maintained a diverse portfolio of primarily commercial and industrial clients throughout the Southeast.
Whitaker is currently on the board for the Committee of 100 Young Professionals, including its BizPac Board, and a member of Rotary of Greater Huntsville where he sat on the board as Director of Club Service in 2019. Additionally, he is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County’s Connect Class 22. Whitaker graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2007, studying Recreation Administration and Physical Education.
Rachel Guthrie, Assistant Relationship Manager and Bank Officer Rachel Guthrie has been promoted to Assistant Relationship Manager and Bank Officer where she will continue to support commercial and private banking teams with credit underwriting while working more closely with ServisFirst Bank Huntsville’s clients to meet their financial needs. She was instrumental in the success of the Bank’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) process by handling the PPP requests for several larger clients.
Guthrie actively volunteers in the Huntsville/Madison County community by representing ServisFirst Bank as a mentor for the Faith & Finance and Jobs for Life programs through The Cornerstone Initiative. Additionally, she represents ServisFirst Bank by serving on the Community Bank Partners. Guthrie earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Finance from Auburn University and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of North Alabama.
